Black Flag spin-off Assassin's Creed Pirates is now available for Android and iOS. It's a game of exploration and naval battle, as you try to become the most feared pirate of the Caribbean.
Unlike its PC and consoles relative Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin's Creed Pirates doesn't dwell much on the Assassin's part of the game. This is much more a game about the life of a pirate, although you will come across the Assassins and Templars.
You play Captain Alonzo Batilla, and have to recruit pirates, customize and upgrade your ship and find the legendary treasure of pirate La Buse. The game costs $4.99 on both platforms, and doesn't contain in-app purchases, which is refreshing.
Even if you're not keen on Assassin's Creed, there are not many fun sailing or naval combat games on either iOS or Android, making Assassin's Creed Pirates quite a unique proposition.
